About this course
The Project Management Professional (PMP®) is the world's most recognized project management certification, issued by the Project Management Institute (PMI) — a global body with over 700,000 members across 214 countries. Holding a PMP® demonstrates that you have the leadership, process knowledge, and strategic acumen to successfully lead and deliver projects using predictive, agile, and hybrid approaches.
CertScope's PMP training delivers 35 contact hours of live expert-led instruction — the mandatory PMI requirement to sit the exam. The curriculum is fully aligned to PMI's current Exam Content Outline (ECO) and covers all three performance domains: People (42%) — team leadership, conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement, and motivation theory; Process (50%) — scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, procurement, and both predictive and agile delivery techniques; and Business Environment (8%) — strategic alignment, benefits realization, governance, compliance, and organizational change management. Approximately half of all exam questions relate to agile and hybrid approaches, reflecting the reality of modern project delivery.
The training spans 8 structured modules covering everything from earned value management (EVM), critical path method (CPM), and risk quantification to Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and hybrid delivery frameworks. You practise with 200+ scenario-based questions and two full-length 180-question mock exams calibrated to the current PMP difficulty — ensuring you are exam-ready, not just course-complete.
PMP-certified professionals earn 20–25% more than non-certified peers in equivalent roles (PMI Earning Power Survey). Senior Project Managers command $120,000–$155,000/year in the US, with PMO Directors and Programme Managers reaching $185,000+. PMI projects 25 million new project management roles globally by 2030, driven by digital transformation, infrastructure investment, and AI adoption. The PMP certification pathway continues with PgMP (Programme Management Professional) and PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional) for those moving into programme and portfolio leadership.
Learning Path
Step 1: Confirm PMI Eligibility & Apply
1–2 WeeksBefore enrolling, confirm you meet PMI's experience requirements: a 4-year degree + 36 months of leading projects, or a secondary degree + 60 months of leading projects — plus 35 contact hours of project management education (fulfilled by CertScope's training). Submit your PMI application online; approval typically takes 5–10 business days. CertScope provides a dedicated eligibility checklist and application guidance to streamline this process.
Step 2: Complete 35-Hour PMP Training
4–5 DaysComplete CertScope's 35 contact hours of live expert-led PMP training — the mandatory PMI requirement. The curriculum is fully aligned to PMI's current Exam Content Outline (ECO) and covers all three domains: People (42%), Process (50%), and Business Environment (8%). You'll master predictive delivery (WBS, CPM, EVM, risk management) and agile/hybrid approaches (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) in equal depth.
Step 3: Prepare with 200+ Practice Questions & Mock Exams
2–4 WeeksSharpen your exam readiness with 200+ scenario-based practice questions covering all three ECO domains, two full-length 180-question mock exams under timed conditions, EVM formula drills (CPI, SPI, EAC, ETC), situational question technique workshops, and trainer-guided review of your weakest domains. PMP questions are scenario-based — preparation focuses on 'the PMI way' of handling real project situations.
Step 4: Pass the PMP® Exam
1 DaySit the PMP® exam: 180 questions (multiple-choice, matching, hotspot, and limited fill-in) over 230 minutes, with two optional 10-minute breaks, delivered via Pearson VUE — online proctored at home or at a test centre. PMI uses psychometric scoring (no fixed pass %, reported as Above Target / Target / Below Target by domain). Results are available immediately after completion.
Step 5: Receive Your PMP® Certification
ImmediateUpon passing, your PMP® certification is issued by PMI and activated in the PMI digital badge system. The PMP is valid for 3 years, renewable with 60 PDUs. Your credential is recognized in 214 countries and appears on the PMI public directory — verifiable by employers globally. PMP-certified professionals earn 20–25% more than non-certified peers (PMI Earning Power Survey).
Step 6: Advance — PgMP, PfMP & PMO Leadership
OngoingWith your PMP, unlock senior project management roles ($120K–$155K/year) and pursue advanced PMI credentials: PgMP (Program Management Professional) for managing related projects as a programme; PfMP (Portfolio Management Professional) for strategic portfolio governance; or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) to deepen your agile credentials. PMO Director and Programme Manager roles at top firms like Accenture, Deloitte, Amazon, and McKinsey actively seek PMP holders.
